On February 22, the NA President of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Armenia Chang Ho Jin.
Congratulating the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary on assuming the mission, Alen Simonyan noted that the development of cooperation with the countries of the Eastern Asia Region, including Korea occupies special place on the foreign policy agenda of our country.
The role of the Friendship Groups was highlighted in the parliamentary format in the relations of the two countries.
The talk was held on the further development and strengthening of bilateral relations between Armenia and Korea, both sides expressing wish to deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of spheres.
In this context the opening of the Embassy of Korea in the Republic of Armenia was highlighted, which would give an opportunity to ensure great progress in the Armenian-Korean relations.
Speaking about the Azerbaijani aggression against the territorial integrity of Armenia and the Artsakh Armenians being under blockade, the RA NA President appreciated the balanced position of Korea in the Nagorno-Karabakh.
