Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian has stressed the importance of promoting cooperation between the Islamic Republic and Russia, IRNA reports.
The top Iranian diplomat on Monday met Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko in Tehran.
Amirabdollahian also emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and announced Iran’s readiness to host a meeting of foreign ministers of countries of the 3+3 format, namely Russia, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan.
The Russian official on his part said that the promotion of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow is of importance.
