US President Joe Biden has left Kyiv, CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins said on Sunday.
"President Biden has left Kiev," she wrote on her Twitter account.
According to CNN, Biden arrived in Kiev at about 8:00 a.m. local time and walked around the center of the city accompanied by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
Biden’s visit to Kyiv, which had not been officially announced beforehand, was his first visit to Ukraine since he took office. While in Kyiv, the US president announced additional military assistance to Ukraine.
Zelensky visited Washington at Biden’s invitation on December 21, 2022. It was his first foreign trip since February 24, 2022, when Russia launched its special military operation.
