For a long time, the attention of the international community has been focused on Ukraine, which creates new great risks for our region. This was stated by Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, reflecting on the consequences of the Ukrainian crisis for the region within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.
“We stay devoted to our democratic reform agenda. The reforms we implemented in various fields will create a better environment in the region,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
Pashinyan also noted that the meeting of the leaders of the three countries of the South Caucasus is historic. “It is very important to identify the content of the history that now is being created. Because we can have different outcome, consequences or results. We need to be result-oriented, and that is our approach,” Pashinyan said.
The Prime Minister of Georgia, in turn, noted that the conflict in Ukraine is a big challenge. He noted that after the war in 2008, Tbilisi made efforts to ease tensions.
“We have deepened the steps towards the EU. This year, the EU Council granted us the prospect of membership. Russia is focused on Ukraine, we must do everything to stop the war. Georgia has a peaceful plan to restore its territorial integrity,” said Irakli Garibashvili.
