Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu considers reconstruction of the Silk Road Bridge extremely meaningful. He said this during a joint statement with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
“This historical bridge built in the 9th century, according to some, in the 10th century, has only two legs: one on the Armenian side, the other on the Turkish side. That is why the restoration and repair of this Silk Road Bridge will be extremely meaningful. We will work together on this issue as well.
Our friends, special representatives will continue their work in the context of the upcoming steps. However, today's visit and the support and support given to us in these difficult days are extremely meaningful,” Çavuşoğlu said.
Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan said that an agreement was reached to repair the Ani Bridge with joint efforts, as well as to take care of the relevant infrastructure before the full opening of the border.
