The General Consulate of Armenia in Aleppo reported that the search and rescue operations in all regions of Aleppo province of Syria have been completed. The correspondent of ‘Lurer’ met with the commander of the search and rescue team of Armenia in Aleppo.
Armen Gevorgyan (commander of the search and rescue squad of Armenia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs) - We arrived in Aleppo on the 8th of the month. We worked with one search and rescue team. We worked in different areas of Aleppo. On the first day, we worked in one place, on the second day the whole team worked in another area.
We worked 24 hours a day for several days. It also happened that we had a night off, because the area where all the teams were working was given a rest. We worked with the Iranian team, the Syrian team, we cooperated a little with other teams, with the Algerian team.
In general, we did not encounter any serious difficulties. Simply because of the weather conditions we had difficulties especially at night. It was a bit difficult for us to work in the cold weather. We have overcome everything, we consider our work completed for now.
