The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center informs that a new earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 was registered in the central part of Turkey, 58 km away from the city of Adıyaman, and the epicenter was at a depth of one kilometer.
Earlier, the seismological center reported a 4.7-magnitude earthquake in the central part of the country, 37 kilometers away from the city of Gaziantep, where one million people live. According to seismologists, the hearth was located at a depth of 2 km.
According to the latest data, the number of victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria has already exceeded 11 thousand. A three-month state of emergency has been declared in ten provinces of Turkey affected by the disaster, and mourning will be observed in all of Turkey until February 12.
