On February 7, Foreign Minister of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, who is in Berlin on a working visit, had a meeting with Jens Plötner, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's Foreign and Security Policy Advisor․
The interlocutors exchanged views on the prospects of further deepening the political dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation between Armenia and Germany.
A wide range of issues related to regional security and stability were also discussed.
The importance of addressing humanitarian issues, as well as the immediate unblocking of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan, was emphasized.
During the meeting, the cooperation of the two countries on multilateral platforms, as well as issues related to the Armenia-EU partnership were discussed. In this regard, Minister Mirzoyan highly appreciated the EU’s decision to deploy a long-term monitoring mission on the international border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing confidence that the mission will contribute to the establishment of stability in the region.
