There are 4 ethnic Armenians among those who died in the Syrian city of Aleppo as a result of the devastating earthquake.
The office of the Commissioner of Diaspora reports that Armenian spouses were killed in the Turkish city of Malatia.
As a result of the earthquake, the Mother Church of Aleppo, the Cilician Seminary and the Mkhitaryan College, and the Armenian Church of Kessab suffered material damages. The Armenian Forty Children Church in Iskenderun, Turkey was also damaged.
