Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Italian Republic to the Republic of Armenia, Alfonso Di Rizzo, Government of the Republic of Armenia reports.
Welcoming the Ambassador, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented to him the humanitarian situation created in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of the blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the activation of relations with Italy and noted that there is a great potential for cooperation in the trade and economic sphere, and joint efforts should be made to realize it.
The Italian Ambassador referred to the existing cooperation between the two countries in the cultural sphere, talked about the commonalities of the two friendly peoples, which can be the basis for the expansion of trade and economic relations.
The interlocutors exchanged ideas on the possibilities of tourism development and the involvement of Italian organizations in infrastructure projects implemented in Armenia.
