Minister of Health of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan had a telephone conversation with WHO Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. They discussed the severe humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh caused by Azerbaijan's blocking of the Lachin Corridor, the Ministry reports. The possibility of WHO support in several directions were discussed, in particular:

A mission to assess the humanitarian situation on the ground,

Supply and delivery of necessary medical supplies and medicines,

The clear position of the WHO about the situation.
Anahit Avanesyan expressed her gratitude to the Director-General and Regional Director for Europe Dr. Hans Kluge for their commitment to work together in the direction of solving these issues.
