Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky took part in a ceremony to remember victims of the Holocaust in Kyiv on Friday (January 27), Reuters reports.
“Today we commemorate the determination of the global coalition that stopped Nazism. Today we emphasise even stronger than before: never again to hatred, never again to indifference. The more nations overcome indifference the less space in the world will be left for hatred. Eternal memory to all the victims of the Holocaust,” Zelensky said in a video speech.
Holocaust Memorial Day remembers the six million Jews and others who were systemically murdered by Nazi Germany during World War II between 1941 and 1945.
