Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili on Friday was hosted for a demonstration of drones carried out by a recently launched Georgian-Polish defence enterprise, agenda.ge reports.
Polish and Georgian professionals of the Delta WB production prepared the demonstration flights for the PM, the Government Administration said, with FlyEye and Warmate drones shown to the Government head.
The former has been designed to perform high-precision tasks in all climatic zones under severe meteorological and radio-electronic combat conditions, and is intended as a reconnaissance tool for coordinating artillery strikes.
The latter is a precision-guided loitering munition that utilises various types of warheads and is intended for so-called “suicide strikes” against targets. It has been used by the Polish Army and other NATO member states.
Delta WB has been launched as a joint enterprise to assemble unmanned aerial vehicles in Georgia, as part of a wider push by the Government over the recent years to facilitate domestic production and upgrade of military hardware.
The company is currently involved in maintenance procedures for the assembly line of the two drone types, with the facility eventually expected to produce hundreds of drones annually.
