The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Denmark to Armenia Anne Toft Sørensen (residence in Tbilisi) presented her credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
President Khachaturyan congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador on her appointment to this responsible position and expressed hope that Armenian-Danish relations will record positive dynamics of development during her tenure.
During the meeting, both sides attached importance to the need to establish sustainable and lasting peace in the region, and within that context, they welcomed the decision to deploy a new EU observation mission to Armenia. They also touched upon the humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh resulting from the blockade of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan and the need to stop the illegal blockade as soon as possible.
The interlocutors noted that Armenia and Denmark have a big potential of deepening their cooperation and can carry out joint projects in numerous fields, particularly high tech, culture, tourism and other spheres.
