Azerbaijan denies that the Lachin Corridor is blocked, but we all know very well that a blockade is being implemented. Greek MP George Katrougalos stated during a debate on the ‘Humanitarian consequences of the blockade of Lachin Corridor’ at PACE.
“The fact that in some extreme cases patients are transported to Armenia by Red Cross vehicles does not mean that the corridor is open. Statements condemning the blockade of the corridor by countries like the United States and France also testify to the blockade,” said the deputy.
He proposed to condemn the blockade, as the European Parliament has done, and to call on the parties to respect international law, especially Azerbaijan, which does not fulfill the obligations assumed by the trilateral statements.
