The Council of the EU agreed to establish a civil mission of the European Union in Armenia. This was stated on the Facebook page of Edmon Marukyan, Armenia’s Ambassador-at-Large.
"The purpose of the mission is to contribute to stability in the border regions of Armenia, to build trust on the ground, and to provide an environment conducive to EU-supported efforts to normalize relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan,” the post reads.
