EU countries have allocated about 50 billion euros in aid to Ukraine, including 10 billion in the military sector, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said at the awards ceremony of the New Economy forum held in Madrid on Friday.
“If you add up everything that Europe has done for Ukraine, not only the military support that I insisted on, but also all kinds of economic, macro-financial, humanitarian aid, then it is close to 50 billion euros,” he said.
According to the politician, despite the fact that US military aid to Ukraine amounted to 17 billion euros, and to EU countries - almost 10 billion, the total aid of the European Union is the largest.
