Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan held a meeting with U.S. Embassy in Armenia Chargé d'affaires Chip Laitinen.
Khachatryan said that Armenia attaches high importance to the further deepening and development of relations with the United States. The Deputy PM presented the government program’s priorities and highly appreciated the United States support to Armenia for implementing the outlined reforms.
Chip Laitinen congratulated Khachatryan on his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and reiterated the United States’ readiness to continue providing support both for short-term programs and the implementation of long-term strategic reforms. He said the United States supports the Armenian government's democratic, economic and anti-corruption reforms.
Prospects of creating favorable investment environment in Armenia and development of Armenian-American cooperation were discussed.
