During the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session, ‘Civil Contract’ faction’s parliamentarian Lilit Minasyan, citing media publications, mentioned that the EU will send a new long-term mission to Armenia. She asked the Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan to comment on the information.
“I want to express the appreciation of the Armenian side regarding the implementation of the EU observation mission. This mission played an important role in preventing the escalation or further escalation of tensions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan international border.
Needless to say, we will only play a supporting and constructive role in the case of deployment of a new, full-fledged observation mission. We certainly have a positive attitude towards that discussion, we will have a positive attitude if such a decision is adopted by the European Union. We will establish broad cooperation with them locally,” said Mirzoyan.
