"Georgia's ability to withstand the pressure of the West, which openly demands to join the anti-Russian sanctions, deserves respect," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the annual press conference on the results of the work of Russian diplomacy.
"I am happy that the contacts between our peoples are actively developing," the minister said, adding that "last year Georgia’s GDP grew by 10% largely due to tourism and the relations with Russia," Lavrov said adding that "Hopefully we will resume direct air service [with Georgia] soon.”
