The ideas that the Armenian side has stopped or Armenia is not constructive in the peace process, in the work on the text of the agreement, are wrong. Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said this during the Parliament-Government question-and-answer session.
“After the illegal closing of the Lachin Corridor, we did not participate in the trilateral meeting scheduled in Moscow, which was supposed to continue the discussions of the draft peace treaty.
At the same time, we presented our editorial proposals to the Azerbaijani side. We are now waiting for their response. That is typically how the process has worked so far. There are Azerbaijani, then Armenian, then Azerbaijani proposals around the project, presumably until the moment when a fully agreed text will be possible.
Here, we have sent our proposals and their justifications to the Azerbaijani side, we have not received any response for a month,” he said.
The Foreign Minister emphasized that the Azerbaijani side has stopped discussions of the text of the treaty.
“At the same time, we see the provocative actions in the Lachin corridor, as well as the violations of the provisions of the November 9 statement,” said Mirzoyan.
