President of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan met with the Estonian Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu over a luncheon during his visit to Estonia.
President Khachaturyan welcomed the Estonian Foreign Ministry’s statements on the Lachin Corridor blockade and thanked for Estonia’s clear position on the issue.
Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu said that Estonia is strongly interested in the establishment of sustainable peace in the region. He underscored that Estonia fully supports the decision to deploy a lasting EU monitoring mission along the border. Issues of intensifying Armenian-Estonian cooperation and effectively utilizing the EU Eastern Partnership platform were discussed.
Speaking about the current situation and conflict in South Caucasus, President Khachaturyan emphasized that Armenia has unequivocally adopted an approach to reach sustainable and lasting peace in the region and establish good-neighborly relations with its neighbors.
Foreign Minister Urmas Reinsalu expressed Estonia’s readiness to contribute all possible efforts to support the peaceful resolution of all existing issues in the region. The Estonian FM also welcomed Armenia’s readiness on establishing relations with Turkey without preconditions.
