The leaders of the republics exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.
“The heads of the countries emphasized the positive experience of cooperation on the platforms of multilateral structures, provision of mutual support within the framework of the UN and other regional organizations. In addition, the parties noted that the further development of Kyrgyz-Tajik relations contributes to maintaining peace and stability in Central Asia,” the press service said.
The heads of state outlined the recent progress in bilateral negotiations, which made it possible to complete the design description of the state border line of about 625 kilometers, which is 63 percent of the total length. Sadyr Japarov and Emomali Rahmon stressed the need to resolve all existing issues exclusively by political and diplomatic means and spoke for stepping up the negotiation process within the framework of the intergovernmental commission on delimitation and demarcation of the state border.
