Ankara will not join Western sanctions against Moscow, they will do more damage to Turkey's economy than Russia's. This was announced by the Turkish President's Spokesperson, adding that the measures taken by the West against Russia were not effective.
İbrahim Kalın expressed the opinion that the world community does not have sufficient desire to create conditions for serious negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, which makes it impossible to negotiate a peace agreement on the issue of Ukraine.
According to the official, Europe and the USA should also participate in possible negotiations for the settlement of the situation in Ukraine, at the same time, any peace plan regarding Ukraine will be doomed to failure if Russia's opinion is not taken into account.
According to Kalın, if the conflict in Ukraine is prolonged, Europe will get tired of military operations, and society will declare that it does not want to support Kyiv.
