Recently, Iraq has deployed more than 6,000 soldiers from the Ministry of Interior to the border with Iran and Turkey, said the head of the Iraqi Ministry of Internal Affairs, Abdul Amir al-Shammari.
“We have deployed more than 6,000 soldiers in Iraqi Kurdistan, on the border with Iran and Turkey. Iraq's borders are a red line, and we will stop at nothing to ensure its security,” the minister said.
Abdul Amir al-Shammari added that recently a 650 km long wall was built on the border with Syria, and modern equipment was also purchased to ensure the inviolability of Iraq's borders.
