Parliamentary and presidential elections are expected in Turkey in 2023, and polls are regularly conducted to find out the moods and positions of the voters.
On December 22-27 of this year, the Turkish Yöneylem statistical-research company conducted a year-end poll regarding the upcoming year's elections, in which 2,400 people from 27 states of the country participated.
When asked, "Will you vote for the incumbent President Erdogan in the upcoming elections?", 51.9% of the participants said that they would never vote for him.
When choosing between the opposition candidate and Erdogan, 50.7% of the participants indicated that they would vote for the opposition candidate, and 37.2% for Erdogan, 8.7% were undecided.
The ratio of votes between Erdogan and the opposition mayor of Istanbul Ekrem Imamoglu and between Erdogan and the opposition mayor of Ankara Mansur Yavash was 40.5%:50.1% and 55.9%:36.4%, respectively.
When asked whether the country is well governed, only 26.7% of the participants answered positively, and 56.6% said "no".
