During the Lavrov-Bayramov meeting, the subject of the Lachin Corridor was also touched upon by the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan.
He noted that the rumors about blocking the route and Baku's refusal to negotiate are untrue. Armenia is manipulating developments around the Lachin Corridor in order to create the illusion of a crisis. There are calls to Azerbaijan to fulfill the trilateral statements.
Bayramov assured: “The Azerbaijani side, with those statements, has indeed committed to ensure the safety of traffic through the Lachin Corridor, and we are doing it even in the current situation.”
He once again asserted that Armenia does not fulfill the obligations assumed by the trilateral statement.
To the journalist’s question about how Baku evaluates the proposals presented by Armenia regarding the peace treaty, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan answered that he has only partially studied the package, therefore he cannot say whether they satisfy the Azerbaijani side or not.
