Armenia conveyed to Azerbaijan its proposals around a peace treaty and is ready to sign it with that content, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the Cabinet meeting. “The Republic of Armenia conveyed to Azerbaijan its proposals on a peace treaty and we are ready to sign the treaty with that content. I hope that Azerbaijan’s reaction will also be positive,” Pashinyan said.
He added that months earlier Armenia had also conveyed to Azerbaijan its proposals regarding the further work of the delimitation and border security commission, however Armenia hasn’t received any response so far. “Armenia conveyed to Azerbaijan proposals on reopening of regional connections and is ready to move towards the immediate solution of the issue on that path. Armenia had conveyed months ago to Azerbaijan proposals on guaranteeing border security but we haven’t received a response to this day. These proposals include the solution to the issue of the occupied territories of Armenia. Our position remains the same, Azerbaijan must cease its occupation of sovereign territories of Armenia and must withdraw its troops from sovereign territory of Armenia,” Pashinyan said.
