‘Artsakh is me’, ‘No to genocide’, ‘Open the road of life’: with these slogans, a group of cultural figures initiated a protest action in Freedom Square yesterday, from where they marched to the embassies.
The participants of the protest, among whom was also the director of the Stepanakert Drama Theater, who remained in Yerevan due to the closure of the Lachin Corridor, stated that their action is not political in nature, the goal is to show the citizens who are under siege in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) that they are not alone, as well as to inform the international community, that Azerbaijan keeps the only road connecting Artsakh to Armenia and the world closed for days.
The march ended near the UN office in Armenia, where Artak Beglaryan, advisor to the Minister of State of Artsakh, and Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan have been holding a sit-in for days.
