Hospitals in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) stopped carrying out planned surgeries after Azerbaijan blocked Artsakh’s only road linking it with Armenia and cut gas supply.
The Healthcare Ministry of Artsakh said that as of this moment there is no shortage of essential medication and medical items. At this moment, there are 11 patients in intensive care department at the Republican Medical Center. Two of them are in critical condition.
Some hospitals are heating with diesel fuel but reserves are scarce, while other hospitals are heating with electric heaters.
“The Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Artsakh is taking all possible measures to properly overcome the current situation,” the ministry said.
