Advisor to the State Minister of Artsakh Artak Beglaryan has announced starting an indefinite sit-in and protest in Yerevan.
In a statement on social media, Belgaryan said at this stage they are starting the sit-in outside the UN Office in Yerevan.
“We are starting an indefinite sit-in and protest in Yerevan, at this stage outside the UN Office, with the following demands:
1. The UN agencies must condemn Azerbaijan’s genocidal acts and blockade against the people of Artsakh
2. The UN Security Council must consider the issue of ensuring the security of the people of Artsakh by providing clear international guarantees
3. At least 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council (US, Russia, France, UK and China) and the European Union must condemn Azerbaijan’s actions and take practical steps to curb Azerbaijan
I call on the society of Armenia
4. To get out of the stupor of indifference and helplessness and contribute to the holy work of protecting Artsakh and guaranteeing the Armenian future
5. To put pressure with various public actions on the embassies of especially 5 permanent member states of the UN Security Council, demanding concrete actions both individually and in the UN format
6. To speak and write about the importance and current needs of Artsakh in all possible places, both in Armenian and foreign languages
7. Whoever can join the sit-in or other protest acts, they can join as our compatriots of Artsakh are now facing much bigger deprivations
I call on our compatriots of the Diaspora
8. To organize public disobedience acts in their countries, urging their governments to take practical step to protect Artsakh and curb Azerbaijan
9. To start awareness raising campaigns aimed at presenting the needs of Armenians of Artsakh and the Azerbaijani crimes to foreign societies and media outlets
Artsakh is the unyielding value of all Armenians, and this battle is the battle of all of us”, he said.
Beglaryan informed that he will also give a press conference today at 15:00 outside the UN Office in Yerevan.
