At the Parliament session, Armenia’s Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan responded to Parliamentarian Sona Ghazaryan's observation that the Azerbaijani side is trying to deny the agreement reached in Washington, that is, to discuss the issue of security and rights of Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians through an international mechanism.
“Sometimes it seems to me that there are things that cannot be denied because there is a lot of factual data. The negotiations that took place in the room were not only attended by the Armenian side, but also by the American side. There is a protocol about it, which the Azerbaijani side is aware of.
I am surprised that the fact is being denied. Of course, we will continue to work to understand what is the mechanism within which we will create conditions for a discussion between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan, regarding the security and rights of Armenians, living in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Recently, in many works with our international partners, we have seen interest from our partners in continuing the work in this direction. Let's hope that we will be able to achieve this goal,” Grigoryan said.
