CSTO General Secretary Stanislav Zas referred to the organization's meeting in Yerevan and the discussions regarding Armenia.
“Special attention was paid to the situation in Yerevan, both globally and in the area of CSTO responsibility. The trends that are now emerging in the Caucasus region inspire cautious optimism. The focus of attention of all participants is to achieve peace in the region. The countries of the region are following this path, which is very good.
However, on the other hand, the situation is very difficult, especially on the border of Armenia and Azerbaijan, where there are skirmishes almost every day, even when we were there.
In general, the measures proposed by the CSTO as aid to Armenia are diverse: there are both political-diplomatic and military, including sending a mission to the border, which will realistically assess the situation, and they have found support in all countries.
The only thing that could not be achieved was a consolidated assessment of the situation there,” CSTO General Secretary Stanislav Zas said in an interview with ONT.
