PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN RECEIVED TOIVO KLAAR
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received EU Special Representative in the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar. The parties discussed issues of settlement of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations, peace treaty negotiations. Reference was also made to a number of issues related to the discussions in Brussels on border delimitation.
MEETING OF FOREIGN MINISTERS OF TURKEY, KAZAKHSTAN, AZERBAIJAN
The meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Transport of Turkey, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan took place in the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan. This is already the second meeting in this format. The delegation of Georgia also joined the discussions.
Within the framework of the meeting, the 2022-2027 road map for the development and operation of the Trans-Caspian international transport route passing through the territories of Kazakhstan, Turkey and Azerbaijan was signed.
FRANCE SENT 100 GENERATORS TO UKRAINE
France has sent 100 generators to Ukraine to help overcome the country's energy crisis caused by Russian strikes. French Minister of Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna called the actions of the Russian forces a war crime.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky stated that almost all regions of Ukraine have serious problems with electricity supply, but the issue is gradually being resolved. He added that 15 regions faced serious problems with water supply. The most complicated situation is observed in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Lviv, Poltava and Kharkiv regions.
In Kyiv, about 30 percent of the population has electricity. Residents of the capital will be supplied with electricity for 2-3 hours a day, until nuclear power plants and thermal power plants increase the volume of electricity production.
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, urged residents to leave the capital for a while and move to private houses in the suburbs. Klitschko added that a large-scale evacuation scenario is not considered yet.
DOORS OF NATO ARE OPEN FOR UKRAINE: STOLTENBERG
NATO does not send personnel to Ukraine, the Ukrainian military is undergoing training in the territory of the North Atlantic Alliance, stated the General Secretary of the organization Jens Stoltenberg, once again emphasizing that NATO does not consider itself a party to the conflict.
He also expressed hope that the alliance's foreign ministers will decide on expanding non-lethal military support to Ukraine during the meeting scheduled for November 29-30 in Bucharest. According to Stoltenberg, the foreign ministers of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine are also invited to the discussions in Bucharest.
“The doors of the North Atlantic Alliance are open for Kyiv. These are not just words, we have repeatedly shown our readiness with our actions,” the official added.
