Vedant Patel, Principal Deputy Spokesperson for US State Department, referred to the latest efforts by US Secretary Antony Blinken with Armenia and Azerbaijan, on peace efforts.
“Secretary’s continued engagement on this is a direct result of the United States commitment to promoting a peaceful future for the South Caucasus region. I don’t think I have anything more to offer beyond those readouts, but this is something that of course this entire building and Secretary Blinken are paying close attention to and, ultimately, we believe that direct dialogue is key to resolving this issue and it’s why we continue to remain very deeply engaged on this”, Patel said.
