Speaking at the Parliament, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan spoke about adjusting the Armenian-Azerbaijani borders.
“Azerbaijan has such a position that even before May 2021 there are territories that, for example, Armenia has occupied. They believe that Armenia, in its turn, should leave those territories. In this regard, I want to state our position. We say - very good, let's understand that if Armenia has to leave some territories, by what border should it leave, that is, where should it go?
If we understand, adjust that border, it can be a very acceptable conversation for Armenia.
If we take the border of the Soviet Union, if, for example, Azerbaijan says that Armenia, for example, keeps some territories of Azerbaijan under occupation in the northeast, it means that there is a certain territorial division there, there is a border. We say: very well, show us the line, the map. We do not reject it, because the majority of the territories of the four Armenian villages are occupied in those same territories. For example, about 70 percent of the arable land in Berkaber village of Tavush province is occupied. About 70 percent of the arable land in Paravakar village is occupied. The arable lands of Aygehovit and Vazashen villages are occupied,” said Pashinyan.
