According to data confirmed and published by UNICEF, the eight billionth person on the Earth was born in Martuni maternity hospital of Gegharkunik marz (province) of Armenia. Karen Sargsyan, Gegharkunik Marz Governor posted on his Facebook page.
"Newborn Arpi, considered the world's eight billionth person, daughter of Karen Zakaryan and Ani Kocharyan, residents of Tsovinar village, Gegharkunik marz, was born weighing 2 kilograms 900 grams, 49 centimeters tall, in a completely healthy condition.
I congratulate the family of the newborn, I wish little Arpi a carefree and happy childhood, a bright future, a creative homeland always, breathing in peace" , the governor wrote.
