According to him, Azerbaijan must fulfill its international obligations. Nagorno-Karabakh is one of the oldest Armenian territories. Today, the Armenian monuments there are endangered. The international community and France should not silently watch the destruction of these monuments and the elimination of Armenian culture.
The Senator made the statement in the French Senate during the discussion of the resolution calling for the immediate withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from the occupied territories of Armenia, ensuring the implementation of the ceasefire agreement of November 9, 2020, and imposing sanctions against Azerbaijan.
