US Department of Defense Press Secretary Brigadier General Patrick Ryder confirmed that Washington supplied Kyiv with two NASAMS air defense systems at a briefing on Tuesday while refusing to specify whether delivering to Kyiv ATACMS tactical missiles was possible, TASS reports.
As the spokesman reiterated, the intention to supply Kyiv with two NASAMS systems was announced by the US in summer. According to him, their delivery has been confirmed. According to the press secretary, the Ukrainian armed forces are already using these systems while Ukrainian troops completed training on these air defense systems in Europe.
In total, the US has sent 8 NASAMS to Ukraine.
