It is expected that by the ratification of the Agreement and entering into force new opportunities will be created for the development of the aviation sphere of Armenia, and the communication of the RA citizens with the European countries will be facilitated. The further cooperation will be developed by the adoption of the EU aviation standards and by the use of the EU aviation rules in the sphere of aviation security: the RA Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Vache Terteryan said.
At the same time, it is expected that the ratification of the Agreement will be an impetus for the trade, tourism, investments and in general, for the social-economic development of the country, providing wider opportunities of movability.
The Deputy Minister noted that the aim is the creation of the growing accessibility of the market between the sides based on the right to the air carriers’ property and the liberalization of control, the fair and equal competitive conditions, non-discriminative approach and united conditions, including the common aviation zone in the spheres of flight and aviation security, air traffic management, social concepts and the environment.
The draft law on Ratifying the Agreement on Common Aviation Zone on one hand between the Republic of Armenia and on the other hand the European Union and its Member States was signed in Brussels in November 2021.
The issue was debated at November 9 sitting of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.
