Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan once again openly threatened Armenia, as well as Iran, the international community and the parties making efforts to establish peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. During his speech in occupied Shushi, Aliyev, once again distorting the reality, stated that Armenia had committed to "provide the Zangezur Corridor and withdraw all its troops from Karabakh, but did not fulfill these obligations".
The President of Azerbaijan also referred to the possible "peace treaty", declaring, "We want peace, we don't want war. The terms we put forward are fair, based on international law, and the peace treaty should be signed on the basis of these terms".
In his speech, Aliyev once again issued an obvious threat of war to Armenia. "If Armenia shows good will, it will be signed, if not, it will not be signed. And what will happen after that, life will show." In his speech, I. Aliyev also referred to Iran. "Our army showed heroism, professionalism and dedication. If necessary, we will demonstrate again, we will achieve what we want, everyone knows this, and those who conduct military exercises in defense of Armenia on our borders should know this. No one can scare us", he said.
In his speech, Aliyev also pointed out that Azerbaijan has occupied a part of the territory of Armenia. "Now the Armenians see what the occupation and the losses mean. This is also done so that Armenia fulfills its international obligations. A defeated country cannot behave like this, therefore, all our steps are justified," Aliyev said.
The head of Armenia's neighboring country called the international partners and representatives of the states visiting Armenia "a trained element sent from abroad" and threatened that anyone who goes against the wishes of Azerbaijan, as he described, "will see the fist of Baku again".
Aliyev turned Armenian-Azerbaijani relations into a religious conflict again, calling on Muslim countries to refrain from relations with Armenia.
Ilham Aliyev also openly hinted that he intends to prevent the extension of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh). "Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed there, in the statement of November 10, 2020, their deadline is mentioned", he said.
