The head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, demanded to prevent "Russian interference" in the affairs of the Western Balkans, which, in his opinion, will be connected with the European Union in the future.
“We must prevent Russian interference in the affairs of the Western Balkans ... We must not give excuses for Russian interference in the economic and political affairs of the Western Balkans, because their future is connected with the European Union,” RIA Novosti quotes Borrell.
He called for "increasing the stability of this region in politics and economy."
The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, previously recommended that Serbia, as a candidate country for EU membership, bring its foreign policy in line with that of the community.
