On November 2, Armenia’s Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan participated in the reopening and consecration ceremony of St. Gregory the Illuminator Armenian Catholic Church in Budapest.
On November 4, Deputy Prime Minister of Hungary, Dr. Zsolt Semjén, received Ambassador Ashot Smbatyan.
The interlocutors touched on Armenia-Hungary relations, as well as issues related to Armenians living in Hungary.
The importance of deepening historical and cultural ties between the Armenian and Hungarian peoples was emphasized.
