In 2023, Armenia will open diplomatic representations – embassies, consulates, diplomatic offices, in a number of countries, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan said during the debate of the 2023 state budget draft at the joint session of the parliamentary standing committees.
“At the moment we are planning to open an embassy in Uruguay and a consulate general in the city of Tabriz of Iran”, the Armenia’s top diplomat said.
Morzoyan reminded that Uruguay embassy-opening agreement was reached last year during the visit of the Foreign Minister of Uruguay to Armenia. “Having an embassy in Uruguay will enable us to establish direct relations also with the Latin American countries in that platform”, the FM said.
