In the sidelines of the 10th meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CIS states, Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, met with Nikolai Patrushev, the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia.
Office of the Security Council of Armenia reported that the parties discussed the security situation in the region. The Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia presented the large-scale aggression undertaken by Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia on September 13, its consequences and emphasized that it was not a border incident, but a large-scale invasion of the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
The Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation emphasized the need to achieve peace in the region.
The parties also discussed the prospect of efficient cooperation between the Security Councils of the two countries.
Moscow informed that Nikolai Patrushev also had a bilateral meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart.
