On October 30, CAD 760,100 (equivalent to USD 547,272) was raised during the annual fundraising dinner at the Armenian Community Centre in Toronto organized by Hayastan Foundation Toronto Inc. Around 300 donors attended the gathering dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the Hayastan Foundation, Toronto.
The funds raised throughout the year and during the dinner will serve to build several medical centers in the Syunik, Tavush and Gegharkunik regions as well as a children’s playground in the village of Ivanyan, where 34 houses were built with the support of Himnadram’s Toronto partner.
It is noteworthy that the participants of the event restated the importance of continuous support to the Homeland.
