The Russian Armed Forces are effectively degrading Ukraine’s military potential, striking the enemy’s critical infrastructure, Russia’s Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at the ministry’s conference call on Tuesday, TASS reports.
"We continue effectively destroying military infrastructure sites by high-precision weapon strikes, and also facilities that have an impact on diminishing Ukraine’s military potential. At the same time, all possible measures are being taken to prevent Ukrainian civilian deaths," Shoigu said.
As the Russian defense chief pointed out, "the Kiev regime continues committing terrorist acts aimed at annihilating the civilian population and destroying social facilities."
"The Ukrainian armed forces do not cease bombardments of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant and humanitarian aid distribution points, deliberately delivering targeted strikes on mass gatherings of civilians," Shoigu said.
Russian troops "have intercepted over 200 HIMARS rockets in the past ten days" in repelling the enemy’s air attacks, the defense chief said.
