Governor Karen Sargsyan of Gegharkunik Province of the Republic of Armenia on Tuesday received the members of the monitoring team of the EU mission, led by the head of this monitoring team, Linn Nettelvik. This is noted on the Governor's Facebook page.
"I presented details about the military aggression of the enemy [i.e., Azerbaijan] on September 13-14, 2022, atrocities, the situation in the settlements affected by shelling, etc., making them more objective by showing [respective] photos.
Speaking about the damaged buildings in the shelled settlements, I informed that with the support of the Armenian Government, repair works are currently underway for partially damaged dwellings, whereas the government will resolve the matters of the eight completely damaged dwellings with the construction of new ones.
Then we talked about the risks in the province, the maintenance of the sanitary conditions of the water resources being supplied to the settlements affected by the shelling, the provision of psychological support to the displaced and schoolchildren, and other topics," the Gegharkunik governor added, in particular.
