Within the XV Eurasian Economic Forum in Baku, Minister of Integration and Macroeconomic Affairs of the Eurasian Economic Commission Sergey Glazyev stated that Azerbaijan is an important partner for Russia.
“Today, the priority for Russia is the ‘North-South’ corridor, where Azerbaijan, as the main transit country, has a key place, connecting the Eurasian Economic Union with Iran, Turkey, and India,” said Glazyev.
He added that the importance of Russia-Azerbaijan, EAEU-Azerbaijan cooperation is increasing.
