Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said that Beijing is opposed to the imposition of unilateral sanctions in circumvention of the UN and international law. Thus, the diplomat commented on the imposition of sanctions by the European Union (EU) against Iran, TASS reports.
Wenbin stressed that the PRC calls on all parties to contribute to the diplomatic resolution of the Ukrainian conflict, and also noted the need for joint assistance in de-escalation.
On October 20, the EU imposed sanctions on Iranian drone makers Shahed Aviation Industries and three Iranian generals. The resolution said that the restrictions were related to the alleged supply of drones to Russia.
Tehran, in turn, denies such accusations.
